Discover Downtown Prince Albert Contest Rules

ALL ENTRANTS AGREE TO COMPLY WITH THESE RULES

THE CONTEST:

The Contest commences at 12:00:01 p.m. on Sunday, April 4th 2010 and ends at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 19th, 2010 (the "Contest Period"). The Prince Albert Downtown Improvement District Association Ltd. ("PADIDA") (the Contest Sponsor) reserves the right to terminate, modify or suspend the Contest for any reason in its sole discretion if events beyond its reasonable control make continuation not feasible.

THE PRIZE:

There is one prize available to be won. The winner will be announced during the PADIDA Annual Street Fair on the Memorial Square Entertainment Stage @ 2:00 p.m. Every reasonable attempt will be made to contact the winner by telephone after the announcement. The maximum value of the Prize will be 1,100.00. (50.00 prize value from each of the participating Discover Downtown Advertising Sponsors.) The Prize must be accepted as awarded, without substitutions or transfers. Any additional costs incurred in collecting and using the Prize is the winner's responsibility. PADIDA reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

You must drop off your completed ballot to one of the participating businesses as advertised in the Prince Albert Daily Herald Rural Roots distributed in the months of April, May and June 2010.

You may enter as many times as you wish. Ballots must be the original ballot printed in the Discover Downtown Advertisement in the Prince Albert Daily Herald Rural Roots for the months of April, May and June 2010. All submissions become the property of PADIDA and none will be returned; PADIDA assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, illegible, destroyed or misdirected submissions. PADIDA will contact only the person whose name is drawn.

THE DRAW:

On Saturday, June 19th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m., a random draw will be made by PADIDA at the office, located at #9- 11th Street West, Prince Albert, SK. The chances of being selected depend on the total number of eligible submissions received by the Contest Deadline. The name drawn will be announced on the Memorial Square Entertainment Stage during the 2010 Downtown Street Fair. If PADIDA, acting reasonably, cannot contact the selected entrant within 1 week of the draw date, another name will be drawn; PADIDA will then make reasonable efforts to contact that person within 1 hour, failing which another name will be drawn, and so on, until a selected entrant is contacted.

TO WIN:

If your name is drawn, you must correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical skill-testing question, which will be administered by a PADIDA representative in a pre-arranged telephone interview. If you do not answer correctly or if you do not comply with these rules, you will be disqualified and will not receive the prize. In such a case, a new draw for the prize will be held. All decisions of PADIDA representatives are final.

Then, after PADIDA verifies that you have complied with these rules, you must sign PADIDA's standard release form before being entitled to receive the Prize. That form also contains your consent to the use of your name, address and/or photograph in advertising or other publicity by PADIDA and/or its agencies, without any payment or other compensation to you.

By entering the contest, the winner consents to PADIDA using the winner's name and/or photo for publicity purposes. The winner's name will be posted on PADIDA's Web site at www.princealbertdowntown.ca by entering the contest, entrants agree to PADIDA's use of their personal information as described.

To be eligible to enter, you must be a minimum of 19 years of age.

You cannot be an employee of PADIDA, contest sponsors, advertising or promotional agencies or domiciled with or a member of the immediate family of any such person (e.g., spouses, parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren, siblings by blood or adoption, and spouses of same).
