Who We Are

The Prince Albert Downtown Business Improvement District (PADBID) Statutory Board of the City of Prince Albert established in March of 2004. Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, appointed by City Council, it is made up of property and business persons from within the designated Business Improvement District.

Our neighbourhood is home to nearly 300 businesses, one third of all in Prince albert, which include the following: civic, provincial and federal government offices, financial, institutions, 4 major medias companies, professional firms such as: investment, accounting and legal, quality retail, dinning, 5 art galleries, Historical Museum, E.A. Rawlinson Centre for the Arts, Art classes, visitor accommodation and convention facilities, beauty and personal care, pharmacies, doctors offices and a variety of residential including a number of senior citizen housing complexes, affordable housing options, as well as executive suites.


Our Purpose:

The purpose or mandate of the business improvement district is to encourage the development of a vibrant and prosperous downtown business district by improving the area’s appearance and image, promoting and marketing the area, and undertaking initiatives and projects that facilitate the ongoing rejuvenation and redevelopment of the area.
